AFTERMATH

AFTERMATH explores how the human heritage as an invisible creature can have aftereffects on both individuals, groups and peoples for generations. Geneticists have made research on how trauma can be inherited, and how our conditions and choices can become an echo that moves the dynamics of the world. These thoughts are the point of departure for AFTERMATH, and the effect of the heritage which we are all both receivers and senders of is the DNA of the performance. The costumes are made out of parachutes from World War II, and the tones from both long forgotten eras and new compositions meets strong-willed dancers in their way of coping with heritage and suggestions for where the world is heading.
AFTERMATH is performed in very different locations and the performance takes different shapes every time influenced by the various locations and constellations. The development of AFTERMATH is ongoing just like our passing of heritage.
